Terms & Conditions
Progressive Sports Asia Limited (Tekkerz, Tekkerz Angels, RCFC & Activ8)
FOR PARTICIPANTS OF MINORITY AGE
(UNDER AGE 18 AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION)
Terms & Conditions & Codes of Conduct
This is to certify that I, as parent/guardian with legal responsibility for this participant, do consent and agree to his/her release as provided above of all the Releasees set out below, and for myself, my heirs, assigns, and next of kin, I release and agree to indemnify and hold harmless and promise not to sue the Releasees for any and all liabilities or claims incident to my minor child’s involvement or participation in this program as provided above, even if arising from their own negligence, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Releasees shall mean Progressive Sports Asa Limited, the owners of ‘Tekkerz®’ football program including the ‘Tekkerz® player development app, hereinafter called “PSA”, their officers, officials, agents, and/or employees, coaches, directors, volunteers, other participants, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the training events.
- By enrolling with PSA, either in the ‘Tekkerz®’ football program, travelling to and from competitive and friendly matches and tournaments, the Activ8 program or the ‘Tekkerz® player development app, the participant does so at their own risk. The Releasees shall not be liable for any damage whatsoever arising from any personal injury, disability, death or loss/damage to person or to property before, during or after any designate classes.
- The Releasees shall not be liable for any damage whatsoever arising from any personal injury, disability, death or loss/damage to person or to property while relocating participants from one venue to another for the purpose of training or matches.
Use of Photos & Videos
- PSA may take photos or videos during sessions or extract videos from the app either for the analysis and development of the player and/or for marketing purposes. PSA will not identify a player by name without prior consent of the parent.
Student Behaviour
- PSA reserves the right to give warnings or even remove students from a session, a block of sessions, the whole term or the full program for behaviour considered unacceptable by the coaches and/or fellow students. Parents will be informed by the Head of Sport in any event. Please refer to the Players & Supporters Code of Conduct.
Inadvertent Weather
- Training will be cancelled if the HK Observatory raises a Black Storm warning or a Typhoon No. 8 Signal or the management of the facility deems it too unsafe to use due to adverse weather conditions.
- As a rule, if Typhoon Signal 8 or higher is still hoisted at 1pm, all classes on that day will be cancelled.
- PSA also reserves the right to cancel or shorten classes at its discretion due to any unsafe weather, although it will do its utmost to carryout classes as scheduled.
- PSA will NOT provide any credit or make up classes for any cancellation due to the above reasons.
Closure of Venues
- In the event that the management of a facility temporary closes the facility for no longer that one week or management of a facility instructs PSA to avoid having students of a particular year group attend classes held on their premises for no longer than one week, PSA will do it’s upmost to carry out the classes at an alternative venue, on the same day, although potentially with slightly alternative times. However, if this is impossible, and classes need to be cancelled, then students may attend a ‘make-up’ class on an alternative day and date anytime during the same term.
- If the management of a facility closes the facility for longer than one week, therefore impacting ongoing classes, PSA will do it’s upmost to carry out the classes at an alternative venue, on the same day, although potentially with slightly alternative times. However, if this is impossible, and classes need to be cancelled for a period of two weeks or more, then PSA will calculate a credit note for each student which may be redeemed for the following term or camp.
Travel and Transport Consent Clause (For players born 2016 or earlier)
- By enrolling a player, aged 11 or above, (born 2016 or earlier) in our program, parents and legal guardians explicitly grant permission to the PSA and its authorised staff to arrange, book, and schedule licensed taxi or private hire vehicle services to transport the player to and from official matches, tournaments and training sessions.
- This transport option is strictly reserved for instances where the player is entirely unaccompanied by a parent, legal guardian, or designated supervising adult. The authorised staff will facilitate the booking of the transport and may assist the player into the vehicle. However, parents acknowledge and agree that the authorised staff will not accompany the player inside the vehicle during transit.
- All transport will be arranged through licensed, reputable third-party transportation providers including bus companies and registered taxis. PSA does not operate these transport services and acts solely as a booking intermediary. Consequently, PSA, its directors, and its staff accept no liability for any delays, route deviations, traffic incidents, or injuries that may occur while the player is in transit under the care of the third-party transport provider.
- The parent or legal guardian assumes full financial responsibility for all transport fares, unless otherwise notified by PSA.
- This consent remains valid for the entire duration of the player's enrolment season. Parents or legal guardians may revoke this transportation consent at any time. Revocation must be submitted in writing to PSA via e-mail to [email protected] at least 48 hours prior to a scheduled training session, match or event.
Risks, Medical Condition & Treatment
- By enrolling your child with PSA, or attending a trial class, you are agreeing that sport carries inherent risk of physical injury, and you understand that PSA, its owners, employees and coaches or any Releasees are not responsible for any personal injury, disability, death or loss/damage of any nature to your child.
- I affirm that my child is in good physical condition to exercise and will abide by the rules laid out by PSA.
- I grant to the Directors, Assistants, or assigned coaches of PSA to act as guardians/spokesman in granting permission for emergency treatment/hospitalization (including anaesthesia) if necessary for my child enroute to or from PSA Programs, hospital or any other medical facility. I understand that should a health emergency arise, I will be attempted to be notified by telephone or email, but that if I cannot be reached by telephone or email, such medical treatment as deemed necessary, by competent medical personnel is authorized by me.
Players Respect Code of Conduct
When playing football in training or matches, my son/daughter will:
- Always play to the best of his/her ability and for the benefit of the class or team
- Play fairly – He/She won’t cheat, dive, complain or waste time
- Be positive and respect his/her team-mates, the other teams, the referee or their coach and Tekkerz staff
- Play by the rules, as directed by the referee/coach
- Be gracious in victory or defeat – He/She will shake hands with the other teams and the referee/coach at the end
- Respect the Referee’s/coach’s decisions even when they don’t agree with them
- Listen and respond to what the coach or Tekkerz staff tell them
- Understand that a coach must do what is best for the team and not one individual player
- Ensure that they have the correct kit (shirt, shorts & socks) for training and on match days, including shin pads. This is their responsibility, not the responsibility of others.
- Ensure that he/she tries to make himself/herself available for every training session and/or match and to ensure they arrive on time for training and at the designated times highlighted by the coaches for matches.
I understand that if my son or daughter does not follow the Code, any/all the following actions may be taken by the club:
- Players may not be allowed to take part in a match if they do not wear the correct kit
- Players receive a verbal warning from the Coach/Tekkerz staff
- Players receive a formal warning (yellow card) from the coach. If in a class, be removed from the class, asked to leave the venue only when supervised or suspended from the next class. If in a match, be given no game time, be substituted, asked to leave the venue when supervised or suspended from the next match.
- Parents of players given warnings will be notified by either WhatsApp, or phone, and may be required, depending on the severity of the case, to attend a meeting with the Club’s Head of Sport
- Players will be required to apologise to their team-mate(s) and if necessary, in matches, the other team, referee or team manager
- In the event of a serious case of infringement, the Club reserves the right to remove a player from the Tekkerz program and/or team squads
Supporters Respect Code of Conduct
We all bear a collective responsibility to set a good example and help provide a positive environment in which children can learn and enjoy the game.
Please play your part and always observe PSA’s respect code of conduct for spectators:
- Appreciate good play from whatever team it comes from
- Remain behind the touchline and within the designated spectators’ area (where provided)
- Let the coach do their job and not confuse the players by telling them what to do. Do not coach from the sidelines
- Respect as well as encourage the players to respect the opposition, referee and match officials
- Support positively. When players make a mistake offer them encouragement not criticism. Applaud effort and good play as well as success
- Maintain control of your emotions and avoid actions, language and/or gestures that may be interpreted as hostile, abusive, insulting or humiliating
- Remember it’s only a game and it’s their game. Let them make mistakes, learn and have fun
- Do not approach the Coach during or after games to discuss issues such as playing time, playing position, tactics, or making complaints of any other nature
I understand that if I do not follow the Code, any/all the following actions may be taken by my club:
- Issued with a verbal warning from the Coach/Tekkerz staff
- Required to attend a meeting with the Club’s Head of Sport
- Required to leave the class or match venue by the club
- Requested by the club not to attend future classes or matches
- Required to leave the club along with any dependents
Please note:
- Any meeting regarding infringements of these Codes must be done in the presence of the Club’s Head of Sport, Barry Brown
- For any concerns from parents, for classes, these should be directed to respective Lead Coaches – Jordon Brown, Christian Romano, Barry Brown or Ralphy Dray.
- If necessary, a meeting will be scheduled with the parent, Coach, if available, and one of PSA’s Directors – Barry Brown or Dirk Haddow.
