Terms & Conditions

FOR PARTICIPANTS OF MINORITY AGE

(UNDER AGE 18 AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION)

Terms & Conditions & Players/Supporters Codes of Conduct

This is to certify that I, as parent/guardian with legal responsibility for this participant, do consent and agree to his/her release as provided above of all the Releasees set out below, and for myself, my heirs, assigns, and next of kin, I release and agree to indemnify and hold harmless and promise not to sue the Releasees for any and all liabilities or claims incident to my minor child’s involvement or participation in this program as provided above, even if arising from their own negligence, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Releasees shall mean Progressive Sports Asa Limited, the owners of ‘Tekkerz®’ football program including the ‘Tekkerz® player development app, hereinafter called “PSA”, their officers, officials, agents, and/or employees, coaches, directors, volunteers, other participants, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the training events.

  • By enrolling with PSA, either in the ‘Tekkerz®’ football program or the ‘Tekkerz® player development app, the participant does so at their own risk. The Releasees shall not be liable for any damage whatsoever arising from any personal injury, disability, death or loss/damage to person or to property before, during or after any designate classes.
  • The Releasees shall not be liable for any damage whatsoever arising from any personal injury, disability, death or loss/damage to person or to property while relocating participants from one venue to another for the purpose of training or matches.
  • PSA may take photos or videos during sessions or extract videos from the app either for the analysis and development of the player and/or for marketing purposes. PSA will not identify a player by name without prior consent of the parent.
  • PSA reserves the right to give warnings or even remove students from a session, a block of sessions, the whole term or the full program for behaviour considered unacceptable by the coaches and/or fellow students. Parents will be informed by the Head of Sport in any event. Please refer to the Players & Supporters Code of Conduct at the end.
  • Training will be cancelled if the HK Observatory raises a Black Storm warning or a Typhoon No. 8 Signal or the management of the facility deems it too unsafe to use due to adverse weather conditions. PSA also reserves the right to cancel or shorten classes at its discretion due to any unsafe weather, although it will do its utmost to carryout classes as scheduled. PSA will NOT provide any credit or make up classes for any cancellation due to the aforesaid reasons.

As a rule, if Typhoon Signal 8 is still hoisted at 1pm, all classes on that day will be cancelled.

  • In the event that the management of a facility temporary closes the facility for no longer that one week or management of a facility instructs PSA to avoid having students of a particular year group attend classes held on their premises for no longer than one week, PSA will do it’s upmost to carry out the classes at an alternative venue, on the same day, although potentially with slightly alternative times. However, if this is impossible, and classes need to be cancelled, then students may attend a ‘make-up’ class on an alternative day and date anytime during the same term.
  • In the event that the management of a facility closes the facility for longer than one week, therefore impacting ongoing classes, PSA will do it’s upmost to carry out the classes at an alternative venue, on the same day, although potentially with slightly alternative times. However, if this is impossible, and classes need to be cancelled for a period of two weeks or more, then PSA will calculate a credit note for each student which may be redeemed for the following term or camp.
  • By enrolling your child with PSA, or attending a trial class, you are agreeing that sport carries inherent risk of physical injury, and you understand that PSA, its owners, employees and coaches or any Releasees are not responsible for any personal injury, disability, death or loss/damage of any nature to your child.
  • I affirm that my child is in good physical condition to exercise and will abide by the rules laid out by PSA.
  • I grant to the Directors, Assistants, or assigned coaches of PSA to act as guardians/spokesman in granting permission for emergency treatment/hospitalization (including anaesthesia) if necessary for my child en route to or from PSA Programs, hospital or any other medical facility. I understand that should a health emergency arise, I will be attempted to be notified by telephone or email, but that if I cannot be reached by telephone or email, such medical treatment as deemed necessary, by competent medical personnel is authorized by me.

Players Respect Code of Conduct

When playing football in training or matches, my son will:

  • Always play to the best of his/her ability and for the benefit of the class or team
  • Play fairly – He/She won’t cheat, dive, complain or waste time
  • Be positive and respect his/her team-mates, the other teams, the referee or their coach and Tekkerz staff
  • Play by the rules, as directed by the referee/coach
  • Be gracious in victory or defeat – He/She will shake hands with the other teams and the referee/coach at the end
  • Respect the Referee’s/coach’s decisions even when they don’t agree with them
  • Listen and respond to what the coach or Tekkerz staff tell them
  • Understand that a coach must do what is best for the team and not one individual player

I understand that if my son or daughter does not follow the Code, any/all the following actions may be taken by the club:

  • Players receive a verbal warning from the Coach/Tekkerz staff
  • Players receive a formal warning (yellow card) from the coach. If in a class, be removed from the class, asked to leave the venue only when supervised or suspended from the next class. If in a match, be given no game time, be substituted, asked to leave the venue when supervised or suspended from the next match.
  • Parents of players given warnings will be notified by either WhatsApp, or phone, and may be required, depending on the severity of the case, to attend a meeting with the Club’s Head of Sport
  • Players will be required to apologise to their team-mate(s) and if necessary, in matches, the other team, referee or team manager
  • In the event of a serious case of infringement, the Club reserves the right to remove a player from the Tekkerz program and/or team squads

Supporters Respect Code of Conduct

We all bear a collective responsibility to set a good example and help provide a positive environment in which children can learn and enjoy the game.

Please play your part and always observe PSA’s respect code of conduct for spectators:

  • Appreciate good play from whatever team it comes from
  • Remain behind the touchline and within the designated spectators’ area (where provided)
  • Let the coach do their job and not confuse the players by telling them what to do. Do not coach from the sidelines
  • Respect as well as encourage the players to respect the opposition, referee and match officials
  • Support positively. When players make a mistake offer them encouragement not criticism. Applaud effort and good play as well as success
  • Maintain control of your emotions and avoid actions, language and/or gestures that may be interpreted as hostile, abusive, insulting or humiliating
  • Remember it’s only a game and it’s their game. Let them make mistakes, learn and have fun
  • Do not approach the Coach during or after games to discuss issues such as playing time, playing position, tactics, or making complaints of any other nature

I understand that if I do not follow the Code, any/all the following actions may be taken by my club:

  • Issued with a verbal warning from the Coach/Tekkerz staff
  • Required to attend a meeting with the Club’s Head of Sport
  • Required to leave the class or match venue by the club
  • Requested by the club not to attend future classes or matches
  • Required to leave the club along with any dependents

Please note:

  • Any meeting regarding infringements of these Codes must be done in the presence of the Club’s Head of Sport, Barry Brown
  • For any concerns from parents, for classes, these should be directed to respective Lead Coaches – Robbie Bacon, Jordon Brown, Barry Brown or Ralphy Dray.
  • If necessary, a meeting will be scheduled with the parent, Coach, if available, and one of PSA’s Directors – Barry Brown or Dirk Haddow.

What People are Saying

A few testimonials from our loyal customers

...more than a football experience

Tekkerz was more than a football experience to my kids and family. It was a mix of respect, discipline, top skills, hard training, teamwork and fun! The individual approach and recognition of each player’s skills and weaknesses made them help each other and grow together as a group. The sportsmanship my sons acquired at Tekkerz will be carried throughout their lives. Thanks to coach Baz and team!.

Daniel M, parent of 2 boys, U10 & U12

...Tekkerz coaches were fantastic

Tekkerz was not my daughter’s first taste of team football – she had previously taken part in some holiday camps. But she didn’t really enjoy these, so we tried Tekkerz because she liked the idea of a girls-only team. The Tekkerz coaches were fantastic, covering techniques, positioning, reading the game … and my daughter really enjoyed the social side, seeing her friends every week. So, a great balance, and we could see the progress she made in matches that were organised.”

Chris, U11 Girl parent

...Tekkerz as a part of his identity

“It has been great to see our son take to football and Tekkerz as a part of his identity – and we’ve been able to build so much personal independence and decision-making for him around it as well.”

Thank you to all the coaches.”

 RG, parent of U11 boy

...focused and attentive coaching

“My 8yo son has never shown such an acceleration of improvement until joining Tekkerz. Coach Baz and his team deliver focused and attentive coaching while ensuring a good balance of technical training with fun match style play. Very highly recommended.”

Derek, U8 parent

...outstanding football coaching

“PSA and the Tekkerz program have given all three of my sons an outstanding football coaching experience. The program itself has allowed them to develop skills, ball control and an ability to play the game in a really fun and engaging environment. Coach Baz in particular not only has the football skills and coaching ability to get the best of the players, but he also has a calm and nurturing disposition that children of all ages really enjoy.”

Ben L, U6, U9 & U11 parent

...exceptional quality

My son joined Tekkerz right when they had only just started out. It's only after our recent move back to Europe that I've truly come to appreciate the exceptional quality of Tekkerz. Their coaches, particularly Baz, are brilliant, consistently ensuring that every child is engaged and enjoying themselves, regardless of their skill level. While the focus on fun and enjoyment is evident, the club also excels in advancing the children's technical football abilities

What sets Tekkerz apart is its genuine inclusive atmosphere, which fosters a sense of belonging and community among the young players. The professionalism in organising tournaments, managing training schedules, and facilitating kit orders is second to none. As a parent, I always felt well-informed and confident in the club's operations and intentions. For parents considering a supportive, inclusive, and professionally run football club for their children, Tekkerz stands out as a brilliant choice.”

KH, parent of U9 boy

...Tekkerz is a great club

“Among many business minded football clubs Tekkerz is a great club with high professional standards and committed management and coaches. The coaches are amazing and know how to inspire children and get the best out of them.”

M.R., U9 parent

...children swiftly develop skills

“Tekkerz has been everything we’ve wished from a football club since we moved to HK. The children swiftly develop skills from high intensity training sessions, games and tournaments that are geared to children of all ages and abilities. The coaches are superb at stimulating a love of football in the youngest ones, building their skills and ability up through the years, and producing talented football players in the Tekkerz philosophy. The Tekkerz community is more than a football club, it’s an extended family, and I couldn’t imagine DB without it.”
